    Throughout its history, Roosevelt has placed strong emphasis on responding with compassion and sensitivity to the unique needs of the communities it serves, including areas whose residents have had multiple social and economic challenges. Mount Sinai Roosevelt provides much of the inpatient, outpatient, and emergency medical care for the more than half a million residents of the West Side of Manhattan, as well as for patients throughout the New York metropolitan region and beyond: admitting approximately 44,000 patients, serving more than 300,000 outpatients, and providing emergency care for over 100,000 patients every year.
