    The Neuro-Ophthalmology department at Mount Sinai West evaluates and treats neurologic and systemic disorders that cause sensory, visual, ocular motor, eyelid, or papillary dysfunctions.

    A Multidisciplinary Team Approach

    The division of Neuro-Ophthalmology works in conjunction with  — Mount Sinai Beth Israel and The New York Eye and Ear Infirmary to offer patients the latest diagnostic testing and advanced therapies, including stereotactic radiotherapy, and endovascular and neurological interventions, for these conditions.

    The neurologists at Mount Sinai West have the experience to treat a wide range of neuro-ophthalmology conditions, including optic neuritis and other inflammatory optic nerve diseases; swollen optic nerves (papilledema) or pseudotumorcerebri; blurred or loss of vision; double vision; headaches; ocular myasthenia gravis; meningioma; pituitary tumors; aneurysms; craniopharyngioma; unexplained vision loss; untreated neurovascular disorders, such as arteriovenous malformation; ocular mythenia; pituitary tumors; and disorders of the ocular motility.
