    Support Groups at Mount Sinai West are led by caring experts in a safe, supportive environment, and who are here to help you through your journey.

    Bariatric Surgery

    Gastric Bypass Surgery Support Group offers new patients a chance to learn more about Roosevelt’s program, surgical options, and aftercare. For patients who have already had surgery, the group offers a supportive environment to help manage the emotional changes and situations that can occur as a result of weight loss.

    Crime Victims Treatment Center

    Group Counseling

    CVTC offers 15 unique and tailored support groups for survivors of violent crime. We are constantly expanding our group therapy program to address the emerging needs of our clients.     Parent/Family Education

    New Parent Breastfeeding Support Group provides support, encouragement, and guidance for breastfeeding mothers and new parents. Discussion topics include growth and development, feeding issues, self esteem as a parent, time management, return to work in/out of home, and free discussion for other areas of concern. The group is facilitated by a master’s prepared pediatric nurse practitioner.

    Vascular Birthmarks

    Vascular Birthmark Support Group is designed to help with emotional support, financial issues, insurance issues and, most importantly, awareness. We at Mount Sinai West, work to connect patients with other patients going through similar treatments and with similar diagnoses.
